Week 19: "It's all over"
Episode 111 (2/11/2015)
RECAP:
Nonomura tries Massan’s whisky, noting that it is quite
strong, but Watari refuses to even try it.
In the midst of all this tension in the room, Emma returns
home and introduces herself. Ellie tells them that she would like to treat them
to some lunch and has Emma help her prepare.
Ellie brings in Nonomura and Watari’s lunch and they are
thoroughly impressed with the flavor. Watari notes that Massan must be happy
and that he must make sure to keep Ellie and Emma happy too. Massan responds
that that is the exact reason why he would like them to allow him to make and
sell his whisky.
Meanwhile, Kumatora is eating with Kazuma and Hana by their
hearth as they worry about Massan and his guests.
After eating, Ellie and Emma sing a Scottish folk song for
their guests and afterwards Ellie thanks them sincerely for everything they
have provided them.
Kumatora then suddenly comes barging in telling Nonomura and
Watari to believe in Massan as he did when he gave over his land to Massan 8 years
ago. Watari finally gives in and drinks the glass of whisky saying “alright”
and goes to leave. Nonomura turns to Massan and warns him that the whisky
industry is going to expand and that Massan needs to stay focused on his own
whisky to ensure its success. Massan agrees.
Later, Massan gets all his workers to gather as he announces
that they will be focusing all their energy on their whisky business and stop
making any apple products.
