Plot: This story follows a young man whose family owns a sake brewery as he chases his dream of producing whisky in Japan. He meets Ellie in Scotland while he studies the science of distilling whisky. He falls in love with her and they marry despite both families showing opposition. It continues by following years of business troubles as well as Ellie's struggle as she tries to assimilate into Japanese society. Based on a true story about the first Japanese person to produce whisky in Japan, and the first NHK morning drama (asadora) to feature a non-Japanese main character. The drama will consist of 150 15-minute episodes from September 29th, 2014.
