We had some refreshingly comical moments in today's episode which was nice after all the conflict that has been going on up until now. I think my favorite character at this point is, hands down, Mr. Kamoi! Such a funny and interesting character!

Now that Massan realizes that he misunderstood Mr. Tanaka's words before he left for Scotland, he tries to apologize and make amends with Yuko and the family. I can't help but feel sorry for Yuko though. She waited two years for him to return, with the anticipation that he would marry her.

Massan and Ellie arrived in Osaka in high spirits last episode but today they hit a couple of bumps in the road and find that their marriage is not much more embraced here as it was back in Hiroshima. They also meet a man that will shape the fate of their future.

We have had a typhoon blow through the country causing NHK to change their broadcast schedule so I wasn't able to watch the show until this evening. We had a lot happen in this episode as Massan and Ellie head to Osaka to Massan's previous workplace.
